Preacher Retains The Delta Law Firm Through Referral Service and Cancels Mortgage
August Belmont & Company ramps up attorney referrals relating to secured real estate and achieves results for local preacher.
CHIEFLAND, Fla., Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- August Belmont & Company thoroughly investigated the business of referring consumers who were facing foreclosure because the officers and directors of the company wanted to ensure maximum success when peoples' homes were involved.
Larry Diodato, president of August Belmont & Company, LLC was quoted as saying, "The state of the Florida economy is a microcosm of that being experienced across the nation. Consumers are facing one of the most elevated costs of living in the States' history; their credit accounts are going unpaid, their homes are undervalued and over priced, income is at a low and jobs are scarce. I wanted to be able to give back to the community in which I live by assisting consumers in finding competent and experienced attorneys that would not just fight against the very banks that were indulging themselves on the dollar of the common man; but also understand their finances and agree to finance their legal fees."
August Belmont & Company is a private lawyer referral service that refers consumers and business entities to attorneys that specialize in suing banks, debt collectors and credit reporting agencies.
Since inception, the firm has originated thousands of clients for attorneys located in 44 states. The firm maintains an "A" rating with the BBB and believes that everyone has the right to competent legal representation regardless of their race or economic status.
Mr. Mayo was referred to an attorney because he needed a lawyer to enforce his rights under Florida Real Estate Law. Mr. Mayo knew this, but attorneys are not so excited about representing people heavily in debt. When that call came from August Belmont & Company, he listened. Not only do the attorneys on the panel represent debtors, but they finance the legal fees so that the client only has to make one affordable monthly payment. This fit right in with Mr. Mayo's financial situation.
When local preacher William Mayo, Jr. received the telephone call from August Belmont & Company, he could not believe what he was hearing. August Belmont & Company offered to refer Mr. Mayo to an attorney that specialized in suing mortgage originators and their assignees who purchased the mortgage loans.
Although Mr. Mayo, Jr. read numerous articles of mortgage origination fraud, when August Belmont & Company told him that they had an attorney that was willing to sue his mortgage originator and the REMIC Trust that allegedly purchased his loan, he was still skeptical.
His reservations ended the week of Thanksgiving November 22, 2011 when The Delta Law Firm notified him that the Levy County Circuit Court entered a Final Judgment cancelling his mortgage and voiding the assignment.
Howard Feinmel, lead attorney of The Delta Law Firm, was quoted as saying, "It has been no picnic challenging the most powerful law firms that represent the banks. Believe me, I have taken a large amount of abuse; but it is worth every bit of the pain, to experience the joy and satisfaction of saving the home of my client, preacher William Mayo."
In August 2008, The Bank of New York filed a foreclosure action against Mr. Mayo and his wife. August Belmont & Company explained that the referral included defending him in the foreclosure action as well. So, on May 14, 2012 when the 2008 foreclosure action was dismissed, Mr. Mayo promised he would tell everyone he knew about August Belmont & Company referral to The Delta Law Firm.
The public files can be found by visiting the Levy County Official Records world wide website and search "Levy County Partners". The foreclosure case is available as well styled: The Bank of New York v. William Mayo, Levy County Circuit Court, 2008 CA 000851.
August Belmont & Company intends to refer thousands of homeowners to its panel of Florida attorneys that are eager file claims and defend claims brought by foreclosing banks and REMIC Trusts.
