Corporate Employee Team Raises Over $2,000 for 5K Walk
SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla., May 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Premier Care In Bathing, one of the largest suppliers of Walk-in Baths and Easy Access Showers, is proud to announce its participation in an employee organized fundraiser, in support of the Arthritis Foundation's Walk to Cure Arthritis. A team of 40 Premier Care employees participated in the 5K Walk to Cure Arthritis in Orlando on May 9th. Located at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando, walkers completed 3.87 laps around the scenic lake.
The Walk to Cure Arthritis raises funds to help change the lives of arthritis sufferers, by providing them with access to medical necessities to live full, healthy lives. It also funds arthritis research to improve treatments and find a cure.
Premier Care employees raised $2,376, exceeding its $2,000 goal. Employee organized fundraising events for the Walk to Cure Arthritis included a nacho lunch, baked ziti dinner, ice cream socials and dress down days, where employees donated to wear jeans on what would normally be a business casual day. The Premier Care walkers also planned a bake sale, barbecue and car wash to raise money for arthritis research. All proceeds from the events have been donated to the Arthritis Foundation through the Walk to Cure Arthritis.
