Prestigious ISTE Seal Opens New Doors for Classroom Learning as KOIN Continues its Transformational Rollout with uReport

CLEVELAND, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 100 Portland DMA schools are participating in the KOIN-led movement to provide coverage for every high school activity through its partnership with DistrictWON's uReport. That movement has been supercharged. uReport has been awarded the ISTE Seal, a validation program that recognizes high-quality educational technology solutions.

uReport is a digital platform that helps schools create and share stories about their students, teams, activities, and communities.

It now opens endless possibilities to energize curriculum and excite students with real-world training and experience in technology, journalism, media and more. Additionally, it provides measurable outcomes to the community through positive stories of activities and student achievements previously unseen.

"The ISTE Seal is the gold standard that very few companies have achieved. What other classroom project has the power to create this much positive change?" says Peter Fitzpatrick, CEO of uReport.

Recognition Based on Three Principles

To earn the ISTE Seal, uReport underwent evaluation by a panel of experts in education and technology. The review assessed the platform across three principles:

• Alignment with the ISTE Standards: uReport was evaluated for alignment with the ISTE Standards for educational technology.
• Practical Usability: Reviewers assessed the platform's user-friendliness and learning design, including how easily educators and students can navigate and use its features.
• Digital Pedagogical Implementation: Reviewers evaluated how uReport supports the effective use of digital technology in educational settings.

Supporting School Storytelling

Through uReport, schools can publish and share stories that bring greater visibility to student experiences and school programs. The platform gives educators, staff, and authorized student contributors tools to create content and share it with their communities.
