Principal Investor Makes Switch to Brokerage Director at Pegasus Investments

CENTURY CITY, Calif., Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Pegasus Investments has tapped Trevor Carl Nelson to partner with and serve as a Director of the Century City based investment advisory firm. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading business development, expanding the retail team, creating a new multi-family platform and growing relationships within the institutional marketplace.

Previously, Nelson served as Director of Acquisitions for Westside Capital Ventures, a Los Angeles-based, private, commercial real estate investment and development firm, where he was responsible for over $300 million in acquisitions and dispositions in student housing, single-tenant retail, shopping centers and traditional apartments.

In his new position, Nelson states that he is looking forward to being able to apply the investment insight that he gained as a principal investor to transactional representation: "I have always appreciated working with the brokers that understood what it was like to own real estate and to evaluate deals as an investor. When Pegasus was initially established in 1990 it focused on retail properties in Southern California. In 2011, Pegasus will close over $165 million across a broad range of product types and geographies.

As Director of Acquisitions for an opportunistic firm, Nelson underwrote billions of dollars of deals from every asset class -  from drug stores to portfolio sales of NPL's to CBD office buildings to ground-up mixed-use projects. Nelson was selected due to his broad investment knowledge, deal exposure and experience, which will add value to Pegasus's diverse client base.
