Private Mortgage Lender Reaches Milestone 80th Anniversary
Wallick & Volk shares an American Success Story
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wallick & Volk, one of America's oldest privately-held mortgage lenders, has achieved an impressive milestone celebrating its 80th Anniversary. OD "Jack" Wallick started the company in 1932 during the Great Depression when thousands of banks and businesses were forced to close and unemployment stood at 24%. Despite the obstacles Wallick structured an organization that has stood the test of time.
Jack Wallick's son-in-law, Roy J. Volk joined the company in 1941. The baton eventually passed to Roy's son Jim Volk who is still Chairman today. "Wallick & Volk is a family business that enjoys expansive experience in mortgage lending. That experience and our commitment to service are key parts of our continued success," says Volk.
In the early years, Wallick & Volk offered numerous services including: loan origination, property and casualty insurance, mortgage servicing and real estate services. As the company grew, its reputation for quality and integrity made an impression on both clients and the financial community. During the Savings & Loan Crisis of the late 1980's, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac offered Wallick & Volk servicing portfolios from failed financial institutions thanks to Wallick & Volk's reputation as a quality servicer. Against the odds, Wallick & Volk expanded during the crisis.
Michael Groff, President and CEO relates, "Wallick & Volk has thrived through 80 years of tumultuous economic cycles, by adhering to core principles of service, integrity and sound financial strategy. We are strong today and ready for tomorrow." Today Wallick & Volk provides exceptional personal service in residential mortgage lending where they have earned a stellar reputation with numerous agencies like FHA, VA and USDA.
This company continues to be a light of success in the often gloomy financial news of today. In the last few years Wallick & Volk has expanded from 5 branches to 18 branches throughout the western United States and has been bringing jobs to the communities it serves. "Success today boils down to providing exceptional service. We accomplish that with an experienced team and customer-centric staff that knows how to get things done well," says Dave Heuermann, Sr. Vice President of Production, who adds, "Our loan officers average more than 20 years of experience each." It's well-known that mortgage lending has changed in recent years; increased regulation has made the process far more complex. Wallick & Volk maintains that their mortgage consultants have the experience and will take the time necessary to bring clarity and transparency to the lending process.
In a time when many mortgage lenders are struggling, a proud few are able to boast 15, 20 or 30 years in the business. Even fewer can actually approach 80 years of success. This American success story seems far from over and appears to have a bright future.
Wallick & Volk is a privately-held mortgage banker based in Cheyenne, WY with offices throughout the western United States, committed to the highest standards of customer service, knowledge and integrity. Wallick & Volk has been recognized as one of the Top 100 mortgage companies in America by Mortgage Executive Magazine.
