Pro Bowl Nominee Chris Harris Jr. Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado

DENVER, Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The holidays came early to several area children as they had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet 2013 Pro Bowl Nominee Chris Harris Jr., a NFL cornerback for the Denver Broncos.  Harris teamed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado on November 6, 2012 for a special pizza party honoring several outstanding Little Brothers and Sisters. During the event, Chris took the opportunity to encourage the youth on the importance of education and working hard in school, as well as being generous and helping others.

Harris then recognized the winners of the BBBSC Broncos Game Day Giveaway Essay Contest.   Twenty-two Littles participated in the essay contest choosing between the topics: "What generosity means to you" or "Goals for their future". Miranda Cruz and Damian Rebaza-Keltner were the winners of the essay contest and received tickets for themselves and their Bigs to attend a Broncos game, post-game tickets to meet the players after the game, and free Broncos gear.  The other essay participants were recognized for their effort and received personalized goody bags from Chris Harris, which included an autographed Broncos t-shirt and a Chris Harris player's card.  During the event, the Littles participated in a question and answer session and played a Bronco trivia game.  The magical evening concluded with a picture and autograph session.
