Pro Figure Skaters Marissa Castelli and Mervin Tran Join BiPro

"I always wanted to try a protein powder to recover from workouts faster. The problem is, I was nervous about bulking up. I didn't want to build a ton of muscle mass," Castelli said. Castelli earned a bronze medal in 2014. The Rhode Island native paired up with Tran one year later. Tran and Castelli have competed together multiple times since then, earning bronze at the 2016 U.S. Championships.

While Castelli consumes BiPro to help her develop lean muscle mass, Tran has used the protein powder to supplement a bulking diet. He needs to be incredibly strong and coordinated in order to perform complicated lifts on the ice.

Prior to his partnership with Castelli, Tran notched a bronze medal at the 2012 world championships. He and Castelli regularly train in Montreal but compete as Americans.
