EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Professional swimmer Ashley Twichell has joined BiPro USA as an official endorser of its high-quality whey protein isolate. The Fayetteville, New York, native is the 5th-fastest female performer in the 1,650 yard freestyle race in United States history. Twichell excels in long-distance open water events and hopes to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in the 800-meter freestyle.
"I'm better with distance, which is why I gravitated toward open water after college. I like the longer distance," Twichell said. "After doing open water 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter races, the 800 is pretty short. So, I've been working on more speed and I've found that that's another way BiPro has come in handy. It just makes me feel stronger, which is essential for the shorter events."
Twichell graduated from Duke in 2011 as an Academic All-American and set program records in the 500-, 1,000- and 1,650-yard freestyle events. She is now a volunteer assistant for her alma mater.

I believe I was doing everything in the water I could do to train, but I don't think I was taking full advantage of recovering out of the water," Twichell said.
