COSTA MESA, Calif, Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Profit Recovery Partners (PRP) LLC, a professional services firm specializing in innovative expense-reduction solutions, has named Colleen Cable as its newest consultant. Based in Kansas City, Mo., she will be responsible for delivering spend management, supplier management and procurement strategies as part of PRP's Legal Resources team of industry experts.
"With her rare background in information services, Colleen represents the kind of consultant who can act as a trusted advisor to our clients," said Don Steiner, president, PRP. "Our consultants lead change management initiatives to help clients implement aggressive expense-management solutions. Colleen understands these dynamics because her diverse career has included the successful completion of demanding projects in consulting, vendor management and library services. Our law firm clients count on PRP for the innovative expertise that allows us to reduce their expenses while incorporating changes in a rapidly changing legal marketplace."
Cable's distinctive experience as a lawyer, law librarian, vendor representative, entrepreneur and consultant sets her apart as a thought leader in the industry. She has extensive experience analyzing library collections and specializes in complete information resource assessments, strategic planning and cost recovery. Before joining PRP, Cable worked as an information consultant at Cable&Clark, providing library strategy and cost-reduction solutions for law firms. She also managed customer relations for Thomson Reuters, the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals. As information manager at Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard, she organized, controlled and promoted library activities at the law firm. Cable began her career as a director of the Tulsa County Law Library.
"These are challenging times in the legal industry, yet firms that embrace change are exhibiting explosive growth," said Kris Martin, director, PRP information services practices. "The reinvented library and information services function as a whole will take a central role in defining tomorrow's leading law firms. Colleen brings unique perspective to our Legal Resources expertise. We have always prided our process as being a holistic one, reducing library expenses by an average 37 percent while ensuring balanced collections and maintaining high service levels for the attorneys. Colleen's unique skills will permit the team to help our clients achieve even greater results."
PRP appointed Cable as the tenth member of its information services practices, comprised of consultants, lawyers, librarians and business analysts. The hire was part of its goal to increase its staff by 10 percent over the next two fiscal quarters, and she is the third strategic hire the company has made this year. In April, PRP recruited Gary Bruington and Marty Davis to serve as directors in its Solutions Management organization. In 2011, the company also appointed Brett Rodewald as executive vice president and ramped up its efforts to help CFOs reduce general and administrative expenses by launching the EBITDA Coach blog.
