Exxon Mobil Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 12, 2014, Exxon Mobil Corporation (ExxonMobil) announced that its CLOV project in Angola commenced production on schedule and is expected to reach daily production capacity of 160,000 barrels in the upcoming months. According to the Company, CLOV, which is located 87 miles offshore Luanda and includes 34 wells and eight manifolds, is Block 17's fourth major development hub after Girassol, Dalia and Pazflor. The Company stated that an ExxonMobil affiliate has a 20% working interest in CLOV, which will produce oil from Cravo, Lirio, Orquidea and Violeta fields at water depths that range from 3,600 feet to 4,593 feet. ExxonMobil informed that CLOV can store up to 1.8 million barrels of oil, which will be exported through a subsea pipeline to an Angola liquefied natural gas plant in Soyo. EQT Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 12, 2014, EQT Corporation (EQT) and NextEra US Gas Assets, LLC, an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc., announced the beginning of a non-binding open season for the Mountain Valley Pipeline project. According to the Company, the project is expected to connect Marcellus and Utica natural gas supply to demand markets in the Southeast region of the United States. In addition, both companies announced that a letter of intent, to form a joint venture that is expected to construct and own the Mountain Valley Pipeline has been signed. EQT stated that the 330-mile Mountain Valley Pipeline project, which is subject to FERC approval, will extend the Equitrans transmission system from Wetzel County, West Virginia; and travel south to Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Company's Zone 5 compressor station 165 located in Virginia. The Company added that the project is initially expected to provide at least two billion cubic feet per day of firm transmission capacity and anticipates delivery to Transco station 165 to be in service by Q4 2018.
