Timetric's Construction Intelligence Center (CIC) is currently tracking road construction projects in Europe with a total value of US$462.7 billion, which includes projects from the announced to execution stages. The projects tracked in Europe account for 25,013km of roads.
Russia leads with a value of US$67.4 billion with the country's highest value project being the US$15.3 billion Central Ring Road Development in Moscow followed by Norway with US$57.9 billion and its highest value project the US$25.0 billion Floating Under Water Tunnels between the southern city of Kristiansand and Trondheim in the north.
Annual spending on the 690 projects tracked is expected to reach US$71.2 billion in 2019.
Leading contractors in the region are Sacyr Vallehermoso and Salini Impregilo.
