Promisec Partners with Blue Coat Systems to Provide 'Agentless' Endpoint Detection and Response

Jul 29, 2015, 10:06 ET from Promisec

NEEDHAM, Mass., July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Promisec, a pioneer in endpoint detection and response, today announced a partnership with Blue Coat Systems, Inc., a market leader in enterprise security, as part of the Blue Coat Endpoint Alliance Partner Ecosystem to provide the first agentless, completely integrated endpoint detection and response solution to identify and eradicate advanced threats and malware across all endpoints, servers and networks throughout the enterprise.

By combining Blue Coat Security Analytics with Promisec Endpoint Manager (PEM), security operations professionals will see a combined view of suspicious events that are occurring on endpoints, alongside detailed insight into the kind of historical communications that have taken place on the network.  As a result, users can quickly determine which events matter the most based on the level of activity detected.

"We are excited to be a founding partner with Blue Coat, delivering a unified platform that provides critical aspects of security operations including proactive detection, analysis and response to threats.  Our agentless architecture allows for deployment across enterprise-scale networks in mere hours, achieving an almost immediate return on investment – but more importantly, protecting the enterprise's IT infrastructure from all forms of malicious attacks," said Dan Ross, Chief Executive Officer of Promisec. "In today's complex threat environment, time to resolution is important; it is critical to have a system in place that can see every endpoint and identify all problems to enable faster remediation."

Promisec's PEM platform works in tandem with the Blue Coat Security Analytics appliance to allow security professionals to investigate endpoints using analytics provided by Blue Coat.  As PEM identifies problematic endpoint threats or the early indicators for potentially problematic malware, users can drill-down into the corresponding network traffic to identify and eradicate suspicious or unknown applications.

"As enterprise network administrators deal with BYOD mobile policies, shadow IT and the Internet of Things, the need to tie together the network and endpoint detection and response is crucial," said Peter Doggart, Vice President, Business Development at Blue Coat Systems. "We are delighted to partner with Promisec to provide our customers with an agentless endpoint solution that is easy to deploy and will provide a truly comprehensive end to end solution—from complete network-to-endpoint visibility and detection, to swift and effective incident response and remediation."
