Annual conference brings together a record-setting crowd for three days of education, collaboration, philanthropy and industry insights
DALLAS, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Prospera Financial Services, Inc. ("Prospera"), a boutique wealth management firm supporting a nationwide network of independent financial advisors, recently hosted its largest CONNECT national conference to date, welcoming more than 200 attendees, including financial advisors, industry partners and team members, for three days of education, collaboration and networking.
Held Oct. 14-16 in Dallas, CONNECT 2026 featured general sessions, interactive roundtables and breakout sessions designed to help advisors strengthen their practices, enhance the client experience and prepare for the future of the wealth management industry.
"Seeing more advisors come together for CONNECT than ever before is incredibly meaningful," said Tarah Williams, Prospera president and COO. "The growth of this event reflects the strength of our community and our advisors' desire to continue learning, collaborating and preparing their practices for the future."
This year's conference looked ahead to the future of the advisory business, exploring what it takes to build an indispensable practice for 2030 and beyond. Sessions addressed artificial intelligence, technology, practice benchmarking and growth, next-generation planning, high-net-worth client solutions, investment strategies and ways advisors can use emerging tools to work more efficiently while continuing to deliver personalized service.
The conference featured keynote speaker Darin Kinder, a former U.S. Secret Service special agent who spent 25 years protecting five U.S. presidents and other world leaders. Kinder, a recipient of the Secret Service Medal of Valor for his actions on Sept. 11, 2001, shared lessons on leadership, resilience, service and finding greater purpose at work.
CONNECT also continued Prospera's focus on giving back. This year's philanthropy initiative supported Paws of Honor and A Soldier's Hands, organizations serving members of the military, veterans, law enforcement and retired service K9s. Together, the CONNECT community has raised more than $40,000 in support of these organizations and put together 600 care packages for service members overseas.
The conference also recognized individuals for their exceptional contributions to Prospera.
- Edge First Wealth Partners was awarded the Abel Garcia Quality Award for the practice's high standards and commitment to process improvement.
- Bryan Waldrop was honored with the President's Advisory Council (PAC) Excellence Award for embodying Prospera's core values of care, character, competency and innovation and consistently delivering gold-standard service.
"CONNECT is a reminder of what we can accomplish when our community comes together," Williams added. "The conversations, ideas and connections built throughout the week help move all of us forward, and we're excited to build on that momentum in the year ahead."
