Protempo appointed as Sphero's exclusive global refurbishing & reverse logistics partner
Appointment made after a successful pilot period in 2018
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Protempo US Limited, a subsidiary of the Protempo Group ("Protempo"), a global consumer electronics distributor and provider of value-added services, announced today that Sphero Inc. ("Sphero") has selected Protempo to serve as its exclusive global partner for reverse logistics, refurbishing and remarketing of returned products. Sphero was in need of large-scale global distribution, refurbishing and reverse logistics capabilities, something Protempo is well qualified to provide.
Sphero is one of the world's leading manufacturers of "connected play" devices, and was the creator of the extremely successful Sphero BB-8 App-enabled Droid which was NPD's #1 selling toy in the youth electronics category in 2016. The agreement is an extension of Protempo's portfolio featuring a combination of products and services designed to streamline Sphero's operational processes. Managed by Protempo's U.S. operation, the offering includes global distribution, refurbishing, remarketing and reverse logistics.
