Proven Digital Media And Marketing Executive, Elizabeth Osder, Named Head of Revenue At LAKANA
Former New York Times and Yahoo! Executive, and Online News Association Founder to Lead Digital Publishing and Software Services Platform Provider's Business Development and Expansion Initiatives
LOS ANGELES and ST. PAUL, Minn., May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- LAKANA (www.lakana.com), a digital-publishing software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider whose platforms reach nearly 130 million monthly unique users, announced today that Elizabeth Osder has joined LAKANA as Head of Revenue. Ms. Osder, an accomplished digital product, marketing and business development executive who has worked for and advised some of the most prominent companies in traditional and digital media, most recently served as a branding and market positioning advisor to LAKANA.
In her new role, Osder will oversee market and business development, platform strategy and potential growth through acquisitions.

As the founder of The Osder Group, Elizabeth Osder has counseled media, brands, agencies and technology firms on business, product and platform strategies. Her recent clients have included Kimpton Hotels, Associated Press, AOL, HBO, Univision, Scholastic, Ogilvy One, GroupM and The Hollywood Reporter. In 2013 she successfully led the sale and integration of JumpTime's publisher focused engagement and revenue analytics platform to OpenX. Prior to founding The Osder Group she served as senior director of global product management for the news and information channels at Yahoo!

Before Yahoo!, Osder served as global managing director of Razorfish's media and entertainment practice where her clients included the Financial Times, News Corp and Time Warner. Previously, she served as the first head of digital product for The New York Times and was a member of the launch team for The Times' website. Prior to The New York Times, she led the development of various local newspaper websites for Advance Digital and earlier in her career served as a photo editor at the Associated Press.
With a passion for Journalism, Osder has spent the past decade assisting innovative editors and producers in wrestling with creative and business challenges associated with digital disruption. Her roster of advisory clients have included ProPublica, Investigative News Network, The Nation, World Bank, Bill Moyers and The Daily Beast.
Osder founded, in 1999, and served for seven years on the board of directors of the Online News Association, an organization she helped grow to 1,000 members. She was a visiting professor at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication; a Knight Fellow at Stanford University; and a media leadership fellow at the Poynter Institute. She holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and an MA in journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
