Psyche Systems Corporation's LabWeb Achieves ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular EHR Certification from ICSA Labs

MILFORD, Mass., July 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Psyche Systems Corporation's, LabWeb® Version 8 has achieved ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular EHR certification, which designates that the software is capable of supporting eligible laboratories and hospitals with meeting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). LabWeb Version 8 was certified on May 20, 2014 by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) and is compliant in accordance with applicable criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification.  2014 Edition ONC HIT Certification is granted to those technologies that are capable of meeting the more rigorous testing criteria developed to support providers and hospitals who wish to demonstrate Stage 2 Meaningful Use, which focuses on the capability of health IT to deliver higher quality patient care and exchange clinical information securely.

LabWeb Version 8's certification numbers are 140080R00 for the Ambulatory setting and 140081R00 for the Inpatient setting. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

LabWeb Version 8 meets the following certification criteria for the inpatient setting: 170.314, for Incorporation of Laboratory Tests and Values/Results, Transmission of Electronic Laboratory Tests and Values/Results to Ambulatory Providers, Transmission of Reportable Laboratory Tests and Values/Results, Automated Numerator Recording and Quality Management System and for the ambulatory setting: Incorporate Laboratory Tests and Values/Results, Automated Numerator Recording and Quality Management System.

LabWeb Version 8 meets the following certification criteria for the ambulatory setting: 170.314, for Incorporation of Laboratory Tests and Values/Results, Automated Numerator Recording and Quality Management System.
