Psyop Continues Growth, Expands Leadership Team
Judson Whigham Joins as Head of Brand Development
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Psyop, the multi-award-winning content studio celebrated for its groundbreaking work, is adding to its leadership team and has hired Judson Whigham as Head of Brand Development. Whigham joins Psyop from charitable fundraising platform Omaze, where he helped to create a new model that brings together brands, celebrities, and experiences to support charities. His new role at Psyop is effective immediately.
"This has been an exciting year for Psyop as we continue to expand our offering and position the company for future growth," said Hunt Ramsbottom, CEO of Psyop. "With Judson's background in brand development, he'll be a guiding force as we continue to connect brands directly with makers to create more meaningful content."
As Head of Brand Development at Psyop, Whigham will be responsible for shepherding the company's brand relationships and direct-to-brand capabilities. Prior to joining Psyop, Whigham served as SVP of Branded Content and Brand Development at Omaze, after spending the bulk of his career at the creative-driven advertising agencies Wieden+Kennedy and 72andSunny. Throughout the course of his career, he's worked with some of the most culturally impactful brands in the world, including ESPN, Google, Target, truth, and Samsung. At Psyop, Whigham will report to Ramsbottom.
Commenting on his new role, Whigham said: "Psyop has taken massive steps over the past few years to stay ahead of the creative curve. With its branded content development, commercial direction, production, animation, ideation, AR, and technology services, Psyop continues to innovate and find new ways to serve its clients. It's a really exciting time to be joining the company, and I look forward to working with Psyop as we further the company's mission to be the only creative source that brands need."
Whigham's hire follows a series of major announcements from Psyop in recent months. In September, Psyop announced that it had acquired modern media studio Content & Co, adding branded content development to its world-class services. Earlier this year, Psyop also joined forces with its sister company, Blacklist, and closed a minority purchase in Golden Wolf, the London-based production company known for its vibrant and design-minded content.
Recent Psyop work includes Travel Oregon's "Only Slightly Exaggerated" campaign; Coca-Cola's "Mural" campaign; Xbox's "The Super Duper Minecraft Musical" campaign; and Sherwin-Williams' "Epiphany" campaign. For more information, please visit www.psyop.com.
