INDIANAPOLIS, July 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PTS Diagnostics, the U.S.-based manufacturer of both the CardioChek® brand and the A1CNow® family of point-of-care diagnostic products, will begin distribution of an easy-to-use, point-of-care blood collection system which reduces biohazard exposure and decreases screening time per participant. This innovative technology enables retail clinics and health and wellness providers to conveniently and efficiently offer additional accurate laboratory-developed tests to their clients.

The patent-pending blood collection PTS Pod system offers fast-drying and tamper-resistant containment technology. Healthcare professionals use the patent-pending PTS Pod system to collect blood at the point-of-care with easy handling and shipping (non-biohazard) and then send to an accredited laboratory for processing. Within 3 to 5 days (typically within 24 to 48 hours) of sample arrival at the laboratory, accurate and precise results are available for download from a secure website.
