According to Publerati Founder & Publisher Caleb Mason: "Publerati is bringing high-quality new fiction to market in all popular ebook formats, and donating each title and a portion of every sale to the Worldreader Organization's efforts in spreading literacy utilizing ebooks. We aim to promote socially-responsible publishing and reading, where when someone buys our excellent ebook fiction, someone less fortunate also gains access."
The Publerati Fall catalog features a highly inventive novel by Ellen Cooney titled Thanksgiving, which follows one New England family across 350 years as seen through the eyes of successive generations of women preparing the Thanksgiving meal. One family. One table. One meal. 350 years. Cooney's previous novels have earned widespread literary acclaim, including from The New York Times Book Review: "This remarkably talented author writes in a refined, understated prose."
Also on the Publerati Fall list is the novel Michael Fargo's Epistle by Daniel Westover, which this year's Pulitzer prize-winning novelist Adam Johnson describes as follows: "Through deeply glimpsed scenes and gospel-worthy prose, Westover's characters find their own stories amid the rubble-strewn narratives of Socialism and Mormonism." This is the second Publerati novel to be praised by a recent Pulitzer prize-winning novelist; the other is Dancing in the Kitchen by Susan Sterling.
New titles also include Dreaming Rodin by John Flynn and Tatiana's Wedding by Cynthia A. Robinson. Novelist Alyson Hagy said this about Dreaming Rodin: "…evokes beauty and isolation, tragedy and triumph, in language that sings..." Other Publerati fiction includes Normal Family, An American Gospel, Dancing in the Kitchen, Journey of the North Star, Marriages are Made in India, Leap of Faith, and Trouble with Swords. The short story Marriages are Made in India is available for free this week exclusively at Readwave, www.readwave.com.
