Public Invited to Explore Eagle Ranch's Open House Oct. 19

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga., Oct. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eagle Ranch, a Christian home for girls and boys in crisis, is hosting its annual Open House from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19. Ranch staff will provide visitors with campus maps upon arrival, and they may leisurely explore the grounds on foot or in their own vehicles. Refreshments will be served.

Since opening its doors in 1985, Eagle Ranch has helped more than 1,000 children work through difficulties in all aspects of their lives – from family and social relationships to academic performance and more.

Boys' and girls' homes will be open for tours. Other facilities, including the school, administration and counseling center, chapel, lodge and more will also be open.

New This Year: New Facility, Bus Tours

This year's Open House will feature a new equine center – a barn and covered riding ring that provide the ideal environment for the Ranch's equine therapy program. Equine therapy helps children gain trust and confidence through working with horses.

Additionally, two guided bus tours have been added to this year's schedule for visitors' convenience. The bus tours will be held at 2:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.

Employment Opportunities

Eagle Ranch invites couples interested in becoming houseparents to come to Open House and learn more about what this important position involves. Additionally, recent college graduates who are interested in a position as an Assistant Counselor can take a tour of the Ranch and learn more about employment opportunities.

Resources for Struggling Families

Eagle Ranch's referral coordinator will be on hand to answer questions and provide information to families seeking help for a struggling child. Families can meet the referral coordinator at The Wink Wynne Lodge during their visit. Eagle Ranch is now accepting applications to serve girls and boys in grades 4-8. Parents are encouraged to act now as a limited number of openings are available.
