Purple Revolver Announces Tribute Band Lineup, Gourmet Food Trucks, Classic Car Show and an Exciting Look-a-like Contest

Classic Rock is one of the grooviest attractions at Purple Revolver which features live performances by three renowned Tribute Bands.  Kicking off the festival is Britain's Finest, an authentic and immersive multi-act re-creation of the best-selling band of all time—the Beatles.  Next up is Queen Nation, a tribute to the iconic and legendary arena rock band Queen and lead performer Freddie Mercury.  Headlining Purple Revolver is Led Zepplica, delivering a stunning rendition of one of the most influential rock groups ever, Led Zeppelin. 

Food and beer play a mega-important role at Purple Revolver with nearly a dozen of SoCal's favorite gourmet trucks bringing an exciting and eclectic mix of cuisine to the retro venue.  From the gourmet burgers at Baby's Badass to exotic dogs at Dogzilla and Asian fusion at Komodo, there will be something for everyone.  Other participating trucks include After School Special, Ragin Cajun, Rancho A Go Go, Rebel Bite, A Rockin Ice and Tornado Potato.  Attendees can also chillax in a waterfront beer garden that pairs "blasts from the past" with top craft brews against the backdrop of "retro karaoke".

Pop Culture also takes center stage with a "look-a-like" contest featuring icons from the 60s and 70s.  Categories include Television Shows (Partridge Family, Brady Bunch and Happy Days), Pop Icons (Marilyn Monroe, Mr. Spock and Twiggy), Musicians (Elvis, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin), Singing Groups (Supremes, Village People and Rolling Stones) and Superheroes (Fantastic Four, Spiderman and Iron Man).  A celebrity judging panel will award prizes for each category along with an overall champion. 

What's old is new again as venerable cars from the 60s and 70s – Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, Pontiac GTO and Dodge Charger along with others – sit alongside today's popular siblings.  Tricked out Hot Rods, Custom Roadsters, Surf Woodies and famous TV show cars (Batman, Dukes of Hazzard and Fast & Furious) add to the atmosphere.  And catering to the younger (and eco-friendly) generation, a number of popular "green" cars join the celebration.
