Q2i's Outcome-Measures Software Helping Improve Quality of Treatment for Substance Use Disorder

BOSTON, Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Q2i, a provider of technology that improves patient care by enabling better information exchange between patients and their healthcare teams, today announced that their products now include survey and outcome-measure features that allow providers to better understand patient progress and make continuous improvements in how they treat patients recovering from Substance Use Disorder.

The new outcome-measures functionality enables healthcare teams to obtain and understand treatment, post-treatment, and continuing care outcome data. In addition, it supports collecting and reporting performance data using approved measurement tools such as the National Outcome Measures (NOMs) surveys for population-focused programs, as required of SAMHSA grantees.

Q2i's products, Opioid Addiction Recovery System (OARS) and Continuing Alumni Support Application (CASA), consist of a patient mobile app and a care team portal. OARS is used by providers of MAT programs who want to increase support, improve treatment plan adherence and reduce program dropout. CASA is used by treatment facilities to maintain connection when patients have left the facility and deliver extended/ continuing care.

Both OARS and CASA include the outcome-measures and survey functionality. Now, healthcare teams can easily design their own surveys or use the built-in standard surveys and publish them securely to OARS and CASA. Survey responses enable and inform a better understanding of outcomes, facilitate continuous improvements, and a results-oriented approach to treatment and support.
