QImaging® Announces 30-Minute Imaging Sessions Featuring Application-Specific Imaging at Neuroscience 2016 in San Diego

SURREY, British Columbia, Oct. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QImaging, a manufacturer of scientific cameras for life science research and OEM supplier for biomedical instrumentation, announces it will present daily 30-minute imaging sessions at Neuroscience 2016 in booth 2716. Sessions will highlight new Retiga ELECTRO™ and Retiga LUMO™ CCD cameras and how these new scientific cameras were designed to support application-specific imaging requirements. These technologies will also be available for demonstration for attendees to see firsthand. The conference will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego on November 12-16.

The Retiga ELECTRO CCD is a cooled 1.4 Megapixel camera that was designed specifically for electrophysiology with a fanless design that ensures zero vibration. The Retiga LUMO CCD was developed for bioluminescence imaging and includes advanced technical features that enable detection and quantification of ultra-low light luminescence signals. QImaging will also demonstrate both cameras with its new Ocular image capture software. Built from the ground up to be a reliable part of daily research tasks, Ocular software provides a familiar user experience with its ribbon-based design for easy navigation between live view, image acquisition, movie capture and image analysis tasks. 

QImaging's 30-minute imaging session "Application-Specific Imaging Tools: Selecting the Right Camera for Your Research" will be presented at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) daily in QImaging booth 2716. Attendees will learn about unique camera features that were developed to address application-specific imaging requirements, as well as how to select the right camera for their research. The company will also provide product and software demonstrations throughout each day during the exhibition.
