Qorvis MSLGROUP Hires 13

WASHINGTON, Sept. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Qorvis MSLGROUP has hired 13 new employees to support significant client growth. These communications, digital and human resources specialists join the flagship strategic communications and engagement consultancy of Publicis Groupe and one of the largest public relations and public affairs agencies in D.C.

Adam Williams, hired as a senior account supervisor, brings nearly a decade's worth of proven results growing brands and enhancing the reputation of companies with a multitude of stakeholders. Williams has more than nine years' experience in communications, including corporate marketing, event marketing, thought-leadership development and media relations. He previously served as APCO Worldwide's media relations manager, working from the firm's global headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Marcos Ballestero joins Qorvis MSLGROUP as interactive creative director. Ballestero is a seasoned creative and digital media consultant with over 15 years of hands on experience in delivering creative marketing and communications solutions. He has served as an interactive creative lead and manager for organizations such as Ketchum, Weber Shandwick, Home Front Communications, The National Cancer Institute, AgencyQ and more.

Rachel Ryan, an account supervisor, specializes in media relations on behalf of clients in global development, sustainability, education, technology and healthcare sectors. Ryan is also a journalist and a regular contributor to the Independent Journal.

Andrew Dawson will serve as senior account executive in the Qorvis MSLGROUP digital team. For the past three years, Dawson has dedicated himself to social media, working at Susan Davis International and agencyQ in Washington and MSLGROUP in New York City.  Most recently Andrew has been the social media strategist and digital property consultant on SDI's communications team, focusing on targeted social media outreach, content strategy, and digital property review and recommendations for client's websites and other platforms.

Philip Newland and Christian Theuer both join Qorvis MSLGROUP as account executives. Newland focuses primarily on healthcare, international and public affairs accounts, while Theuer will support Qorvis MLSGROUP's work on-the-ground in Fiji.

Nedda Akhonbay, also an account executive, will serve as strategic counsel and Arabic translator for Qorvis MSLGROUP's international clients. Akhonbay is currently pursuing a Masters in Strategic Public Relations at George Washington University.

Julia Kettle brings over 8 years of experience to her role as human resources manager. Before coming to Qorvis MSLGROUP, she spent three years working for the British Embassy as the Senior Recruiter for North America.

Ashley Blue is a video editor with a passion for storytelling and recently joined Qorvis MSLGROUP as a junior video editor. Previously, she worked closely with Hand Me Down Films, an independent company from Northern, VA.

Qorvis MSLGROUP also welcomes four new assistant account executives: Eva Glas, Monica Khattar, Jordan Team and Julia Schroeder. Glas comes to Qorvis MSLGROUP from LEVICK Communications where she focused on crisis and reputation management. Schroeder, formerly an intern at MSLGROUP New York, will join the digital team to lead digital advertising efforts. Khattar and Team, both of whom started their careers as interns at Qorvis MSLGROUP, bring expertise across entertainment, public affairs and technology clients.
