Operators are expected to offload a large portion of data traffic over indoor and outdoor small cells to add needed bandwidth and coverage for subscribers, while maximizing spectrum efficiency. Broadcom's BCM617xx dual mode small cell SoCs deliver the highest levels of integration, allowing ODMs such as Quanta to reduce their overall bill of materials and dramatically reduce power consumption.

Availability

Broadcom's BCM617xx Series for metropolitan, enterprise and residential TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE multi-mode small cell networks are currently in production. Quanta's Qcell LTE small cell solution will be available to mobile operators in the second half of 2014.
