New capability extends Quiq's agentic AI Assistants to voice, giving human agents guidance that adapts in real time to the conversation, and the ability to act on the agent's behalf, all on the same governed platform already trusted for digital interactions
BOZEMAN, Mont., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Quiq, the agentic AI agent platform, today announced Voice Assist, a new capability that extends Quiq's AI Assistants to live voice calls. Most agent assist tools on the market run on rigid, predefined flows and stop at suggestion: a whisper-barge note, a pop-up reminder, a coaching cue the agent still has to act on somewhere else. Voice Assist is built differently on both fronts. Its guidance is agentic, adapting in real time as a conversation unfolds rather than breaking the moment a customer deviates or switches topics. And it doesn't stop at telling an agent what to do. It can also do it: sending a tracking link, order details, or a gift voucher on the same conversation thread the call is already part of, while the agent stays on the line with the customer.
That adaptive guidance runs on the same Process Guides, knowledge sources, and Verified Intelligence guardrails that already govern Quiq's digital AI Assistants. Every suggestion an agent sees on a call passes through the same verification step as a suggestion in chat, so the AI is checked before it acts.
The action piece is where Voice Assist breaks furthest from the category. Competitor tools describe themselves as action-oriented when they trigger a backend workflow, a refund, a CRM update, or a ticket. None of them perform actions, such as send a customer-facing message, during a live call. Voice Assist does, closing the loop between advice and action instead of leaving the human agent to close it manually.
Voice Assist is an extension of capability Quiq's AI Assistants already run today on chat, SMS, and email: real-time next-best-action suggestions, whisper-style guidance, sentiment detection, and task completion the AI carries out directly. Quiq customers already running these capabilities on digital channels have seen a 20% decrease in human agent conversation time and an associate satisfaction rate of 4.82 out of 5.
"Suggesting the right answer to the human agent is easy. Any vendor can do that. What we built is an AI that can also act on it, like sending a real message to the customer during the call on the same thread, while the agent stays on the phone. That's the gap we closed for our customers," said Mike Myer, CEO of Quiq.
For prospects evaluating a new voice assist tool, the comparison usually being made is to a point solution with none of this behind it. Quiq's position is different: this is proven AI Assistants and Workspaces capability, already running in production on digital, extended to voice under the same governance, not a parallel system standing up its own guardrails from scratch.
