Radisson Blu Waterfront Stockholm Hotel Celebrates 1st Anniversary

When Radisson Blu Waterfront Stockholm Hotel & Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre was built a year ago, Stockholm's skyline changed forever. Carlson Rezidor's new flagship has been a success for both hotel and conference guests and they recently celebrated their 1st year anniversary with a grand cocktail party in a "homely" style, accompanied by the artist David Urwitz.
It was clear that a lot of hard work had been put into the preparations for the 1st anniversary of this hotel, with the entire 5th floor of the hotel being especially decorated by EDGE in the style of a complete apartment with various rooms, a balcony and a garden, including playing children and dogs. Approximately 350 guests enjoyed a welcome drink on the balcony whilst Sam Holmberg, MD, cycled onto the lawn and gave a welcoming speech.
Throughout the evening guests enjoyed a delicious buffet, composed by Chef Rudi Wegner, as well as drinks that were served around the 'apartment'. Swedish musician David Urwitz entertained guests, followed by a DJ later in the evening.
Since opening a year ago, the Radisson Blu Waterfront hotel Stockholm city has had more than 127 000 guests, and has taken the top spot for the best hotelson TripAdvisor, hotels.com and bookings.com and has been visited by celebrities such as the Dalai Lama and Kevin Costner.
