During an event held yesterday in Worcester, Senator Michael Moore was joined by Mayor Joseph Petty, City Manager Edward M. Augustus, Jr., Director Richard Fiske, and local fire and police officials to make the official announcement of the city's launch of Rave 911 Suite and Smart911.

With the Worcester launch, 27 municipalities in Massachusetts including some of the Commonwealth's largest communities such as Framingham, Cambridge, and Springfield now utilize the Rave 911 Suite, a comprehensive solution offering 911 text messaging, Smart911®, Rave Facility data, enhanced location data, reporting analytics and more. With Smart911, users can create an online profile that displays to dispatchers when a 9-1-1 call is made. Critical information such as home address, bedroom location, pet information, medical details, notifications for older residents or people with disabilities can all be provided to help reduce response times, improve communication and ultimately help save lives.
Residents are encouraged to create free Safety Profiles on Smart911.com. This is a secure platform to input additional information immediately shared with 9-1-1 dispatchers in the event of an emergency. The ability to share these vital details instantaneously greatly reduces response times and better equips officials responding to the situation.
