RAVE Reviews Releases Ranking of Best Razors

EUGENE, Ore., Sept. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- RAVE Reviews, the innovative site that publishes entertaining rankings based on advanced data-driven analysis, has published its ranking of the "Best Razors." The ranking is available at https://www.ravereviews.org/men/best-razor/. 

A large proportion of men consistently shave with the same style or brand of razor that they've been using all their lives without considering alternatives. But there is a broad range of razors available on the market, varying widely in type, price, and quality. The RAVE team set out to help readers find the razor that suits them best instead of settling for what they've always used in the past.

"For whatever reason, I've been using the same dang razor since I was in college without giving much thought to switching it up," says Thomas Pettus-Czar, the author of the ranking. "This turned out to be a really silly thing to do considering that there are so many better options out there that make for a much more enjoyable shaving experience."

He continued, "The safety razor, for example, has been around forever. It's classic. It's simple. But, it provides a much closer and smoother shave than the replaceable cartridge razor I'd been using for ages."

The methodology for the ranking included an analysis of consumer reviews, input from expert barbers, and hands-on testing of more than 20 razors. These razors were evaluated based on a number of factors, including feel and weight, durability, appearance, shave experience, and value.

The 2018 Best Razors for Men ranking names winners in several categories. The title of Best Safety Razor goes to the Feather AS-D2 Double Edge, while the Parker SRX Heavy Duty is featured as the Best Straight Razor.

In the category of Best Cartridge Razor, the Dorco Pace 6+ is the winner. The BIC Flex5 Hybrid earns the title of Best Disposable Razor.
