A recent survey from TruGreen, conducted in collaboration with market research and insights agency Opinium, explored the underlying reasons why homeowners opt for DIFM (do it for me) vs. DIY (do it yourself) lawn care. The results revealed that homeowners are investing too much personal time on their lawns. Highlights include:

• About a third (34%) of homeowners spent six hours or more working on their lawn during their busiest week of lawn care maintenance.
• Over half (57%) of DIYers have had time spent on lawn care disrupt other things they'd prefer to focus on.
• A quarter of (25%) of homeowners say that lawn care has made it more difficult or prevented them from spending time on their hobbies.
