On March 4, 2014, Ball Corporation (Ball) announced that it has agreed to repurchase c. $100 million of its outstanding common stock with Barclay's Bank PLC, in a privately negotiated accelerated stock repurchase transaction. On March 3, 2014, Bemis Company, Inc. (Bemis) announced that it will close its Pressure Sensitive Materials manufacturing facility in Stow, Ohio, in May 2014.
