Financing:

• The state of Massachusetts offers tax credits to eligible taxpayers who update home heating systems with high-efficiency equipment. In 2017, the federal government offers two credits for this: the Residential Energy Efficiency Property Credit and the Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit. Taxpayers updating air source heat pumps, central air conditioning, or gas, propane, or oil hot water boilers or furnaces with high-efficiency equipment could be eligible for a $150-$300 tax credit.
