Regence Names New Market Presidents in Washington and Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Regence President of Health Insurance Services Jared Short today announced that Don Antonucci has been appointed to lead Regence BlueShield in Washington as its market president, and Angela Dowling has been promoted to market president of Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon.

Antonucci had been serving as interim market president of Regence BlueShield since August, in addition to his primary role as market president of Regence BlueCross BlueShield. Dowling previously served as vice president of sales for Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon. In their new positions, each will lead their respective plans, with responsibility for overall market performance.

Antonucci joined Regence in 2010 as Oregon vice president of sales. He was appointed market president of Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon in 2011, and took on the additional responsibilities of interim market president of Regence BlueShield earlier this year. His career includes leadership positions with a variety of health plans, including Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey and WellPoint, Inc. / Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine.

Dowling, who has served as vice president of sales for Regence BlueCross BlueShield since 2012, has more than 25 years of health care industry experience. Before joining Regence, she held leadership positions with Payne Financial, United Health Care, Hewitt Associates, and Aetna Health Plans.
