Regional Telecommunication Industry Striving to Keep Up With Consumer Demands

DUBAI, UAE, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The telecommunication industry is rapidly evolving in the Middle Eastern region. With the increased smartphone usage operators are offering new data services such as mobile TV to grow revenue streams which demand more capacity from the network. Next generation technologies are deployed by operators with the aim to improve QoS and QoE to keep up with high consumer demand, however better technology means higher prices. Mobile operators are looking to invest in 4G networks such as LTE, WiMAX and HSPA+ with Zain and Mobily leading the way.
