Regis Corporation Stylists Give More Than 200,000 Haircuts To Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research Foundation

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, October 17, Regis Corporation (NYSE: RGS) stylists joined forces for the company's annual Clip for the Cure haircutting event, giving more than 200,000 haircuts to raise money for breast cancer research. The day-long event was held at nearly 7,000 Regis Corp. salons in the United States and Canada and is part of the company's month-long fundraising campaign held in October, Breast Cancer Awareness month.

This year, stylists at both corporate and franchised Regis Corp. salons took part in Clip for the Cure. The company donated 10% of proceeds from each haircut to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, which supports organizations that focus on early diagnosis, prevention, treatment and finding a cure for breast cancer.

"Clip for the Cure is our Foundation's primary fundraiser, and our stylists, staff, business partners and guests work hard and give generously to make it a success," said Regis Corp. President and CEO Dan Hanrahan. "This year's efforts will help fund breast cancer research projects at national research centers as well as support our partnerships at regional institutions."

To date, Regis stylists have raised more than $11 million for the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. The Foundation funds breast cancer research projects at Mayo Clinic and the Masonic Cancer Institute, University of Minnesota, and supports 20 regional institutions that assist and treat patients with breast cancer.
