Relativity Media Launches Relativity Foreign, Expanding the Company's International Scope and Reach

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Dec. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Relativity Media is proud to announce today the formation of a new division, Relativity Foreign, in a move that furthers its goal to broaden the company's scope in international sales and distribution. Film industry veteran Camela Galano has been named president and will lead this division dually reporting to Relativity's Chief Executive Officer & Founder, Ryan Kavanaugh and President Tucker Tooley.

Under Galano's leadership, Relativity Foreign will handle foreign sales and international distribution management on behalf of Relativity's titles as well as third party releases.

Galano most recently was the Founder and CEO of the Los Angeles-based global sales and distribution company Speranza13 Media and before that, served as the President of International Film Acquisitions for Warner Bros.  Prior to her time at Warner Bros., Galano was the President of International Sales, Marketing & Distribution at New Line Cinema where she worked on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and played key roles in such worldwide box office hits as Austin Powers, Blade, Rush Hour, Final Destination franchises, as well as Seven and Wedding Crashers. Galano also oversaw international distribution for Picturehouse (a joint venture between New Line Cinema and HBO Films) and Material Entertainment (a joint venture between New Line Cinema and Entertainment films) based in London.  

This announcement furthers Relativity's international presence. Yesterday, the company announced the promotion of Andrew Marcus, formerly Relativity Media's President of Corporate Strategy & Development, to the newly-created position of COO of RelativityREAL, where he will work on expanding their international sales and distribution presence in television.
