GREEN BAY, Wis., Dec. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In our on-going quest to bring the finest programming to our audience, Relevant Radio® has made some changes in the programming schedule. Relevant Radio will start broadcasting "A Closer Look™" with Sheila Liaugminas across the network beginning Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 6pm ET/3pm PT replacing Catholic Answers Live®. Sheila is an Emmy Award winning journalist who routinely features outstanding and knowledgeable guests on her program, bringing up to date intelligent and reliable commentary to the issues of the day from a Catholic perspective. Relevant Radio has the highest regard for Catholic Answers Live and asked them to join our Network, but Catholic Answers declined the invitation. On the weekend, the Kristine Franklin and the Phil Sandoval Shows were not renewed.
To ring in the New Year Relevant Radio brings you an exciting month of special programming in January. Relevant Radio will showcase the future of our Church at the SLS '18 Conference presented by the Fellowship of Catholic University Students in Chicago. Relevant Radio associates will serve as correspondents during the week. Listen for their special reports bringing us the excitement of thousands of young Catholics gathering in Chicago to be inspired in their faith and encouraged in their journey. Bishop Robert Barron, Father Mike Schmitz and many others will be there.
Later in January, you can count on Relevant Radio participating in, and reporting live from, a number of Pro-Life marches throughout the country. On Friday, January 19th, tune in for hourly updates and special live reports from the Annual March for Life in Washington D.C. where hundreds of thousands are expected again this year. The following day, Saturday, January 20th, Relevant Radio will be broadcasting live from the fastest growing Pro-Life march in the country, OneLife LA. Join Relevant Radio associates Joe Sikorra, Don Johnson, Kaylyn Green and Joseph Nesta for this special extended live broadcast from sunny California. Relevant Radio will also be at other Pro-Life events in many of our markets, including Pro-Life Chicago, on January 14th, with Relevant Radio Show Host Sheila Liaugminas serving as emcee.
