RELiON Battery Launches New Lithium Product Line Specifically Designed for Cold Temperature Charging

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- RELiON, a leading global manufacturer of lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4), today introduced a new technology that solves the problem of charging in freezing weather, while also making lithium batteries safer and more practical for low-temperature use. The new RB100-LT (a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery) is the first model in in their new Low Temperature Series line of products.

The first LiFePO4 battery of its kind, RELiON's LT Series batteries can safely charge at temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F). The system features proprietary technology which draws power from the charger itself, requiring no additional components.

The new low temperature battery looks and operates just look the rest of RELiON's lithium batteries, with the same dimensions, configuration and connectivity of its standard counterparts.

In addition, it shares the same advantages when choosing a lithium battery; significantly more capacity and life, faster charge, lighter weight, they can be mounted in any direction, and the battery doesn't require a full charge before being stored or used.

The RB100-LT battery is designed for use in RVs, off-grid solar, electric vehicles, and in any application where charging in colder temperatures is necessary.  It's also an ideal upgrade for those using lead-acid batteries in low-temperature environments.
