Relish Fine Foods Announces Grand Opening Event to Benefit Recipe for Success

HOUSTON, June 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Relish Fine Foods will hold a two-day grand opening event on July 11-12, 2011 and will donate 10 percent of all sales to Recipe for Success. Located at 3951 San Felipe Street in Houston's River Oaks neighborhood, Relish serves high-quality, homemade foods and offers a variety of hand-selected artisanal products. Houston-based Recipe for Success Foundation is the nation's largest outreach to lead the way in hands-on nutrition education to prevent childhood obesity and encourage long term health.

D'Agostino and head chef Dustin Teague developed lunch and dinner menus of simple, wholesome food for take-out. A daily lunch menu is available from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Savory sandwiches feature local artisan breads from Slow Dough Bread Co., meats prepared and smoked in-house and homemade condiments. Freshly prepared signature salads, market sides, seasonal soups and weekly entree specials are perfect for quick snacks or easy dinners. Based on seasonality, dinner specials are offered in limited quantities and can be pre-ordered for pickup. Scrumptious macaroons, cookies, brownies and seasonal pies are crafted by pastry chef Julie Hewitt, praised by top chefs and critics. Beverages include fresh-squeezed lemonade and seasonal juices, brewed iced tea, assorted hot teas, and a unique blend of Katz coffee. Working with local coffee connoisseurs David Buehrer and Ecky Prabanto, Relish is also one of a select few retailers serving products from Greenway Coffee and Tea.
