DENVER, April 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- RE/MAX, LLC, a leading global real estate franchisor, announced today it now has over 30,000 agents outside the U.S. and Canada. In 2016, the franchisor's agent count outside the U.S. and Canada grew 16.9 percent year-over-year.

RE/MAX Europe and RE/MAX Latin America and Caribbean led global growth, with both regions surpassing milestones of their own last year. RE/MAX in Europe now has more than 18,000 RE/MAX agents and RE/MAX across Latin America and the Caribbean have more than 6,000 agents.

Highlights of the RE/MAX global presence include:

In 2016, RE/MAX agent transactions increased nine percent year-over-year outside the U.S. and Canada
Since 2006, RE/MAX agent count has grown 105 percent outside the U.S. and Canada

Global growth is key to all RE/MAX agents as foreign buyers are continuing to invest in U.S. real estate. Over 30 percent of U.S. agents worked with a foreign investor last year, according to the National Association of Realtors^® 2016 Profile of Home Buying Activity of International Clients.
