Global Franchisor Leads Other Real Estate Franchise Brands in Annual Survey

The Denver-based global franchisor of real estate brokerages also was named the leading real estate franchise for the ninth consecutive year.

The Franchise Times Top 200+ is an annual ranking of the 500 largest franchise systems in the United States by global systemwide sales, based on the previous year's performance. According to the survey, now in its 19th year, the largest 200 U.S.-based franchise systems posted $616.4 billion in worldwide sales in 2016, up 3.4 percent from the previous year. In total, the 200 largest franchise brands are growing much faster than the overall economy with an annual sales increase of 3.4 percent or $20.3 billion. The results are an improvement from last year's 2.2 percent gain and double the current U.S. inflation rate of 1.7 percent.
The Franchise Times Top 200+ is the only ranking by system-wide sales and locations of the largest 500 U.S.-based franchise brands. Published in the October issue, the Franchise Times Top 200+ also analyzes 12 industry sectors based on percentage change in sales growth and reports the 10 fastest-growing franchises by four different measures.
