REMAX Teams Up With NFL Star Rookie Matthew Golden To Find Dream Home for His Grandmother

Global real estate brand launches content series documenting Golden's journey to fulfilling his promise.

In interviews following his selection as a first-round draft pick for the Green Bay Packers, Golden shared his plan to use his NFL signing bonus to buy back his childhood home in the Houston area. He partnered with the global real estate franchisor to guide him through the homebuying process. 

Golden worked with Nimesh Patel, Broker/Owner of REMAX Fine Properties in Texas, to navigate the home search and purchase process – helping him achieve his goal before his rookie season officially kicks off.  

When they discovered Golden's grandmother's original home was not an option to purchase, they successfully pivoted. The 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in Kohrville, Texas is located just two miles from where Matthew grew up and located in the neighborhood where he lived in high school.

Patel has donated his commission from the home sale to Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals, which raises funds for children's hospitals in the U.S. and Canada.
