Remy China Wins Award for Excellent Customer Support from Xian Cummins Engine Company

PENDLETON, Ind., Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Remy International announced today that its wholly foreign-owned enterprise, Remy Electricals (China) Company, has received an award from Xian Cummins Engine Company for Customer Support Excellence.

Remy Electricals (China) is one of only seven Xian Cummins suppliers to receive an award at the first Xian Cummins supplier conference.  Xian Cummins has over 100 other suppliers.

Xian Cummins Engines is experiencing tremendous growth in the Chinese market and Remy Electricals (China) has acted very quickly in order to provide critical support to Cummins.  In order to meet Xian Cummins Engine's increasing demand, Remy China urgently built a special customer support team for Cummins that coordinated resources with Remy's global manufacturer bases and delivered key starter motor components by air to Remy China to assure the on-time delivery to Xian Cummins.
