Rent the Runway Announces the Launch of RTR Plus

NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rent the Runway (www.renttherunway.com), the leading destination for designer dress and accessory rentals, announced today the introduction of plus size designer dresses to its inventory.  The launch of RTR Plus, an assortment of over forty styles from five top designers available in sizes 14 to 22, is a continuation of Rent the Runway's overall brand mission to democratize luxury fashion for all women and to give every woman the self confidence that comes with looking and feeling your best. The company's addition of plus sizes is a direct result of their users requesting designer apparel in larger sizes.

Rent the Runway's introduction of plus size designer dresses comes just short of a year after the launch of its last groundbreaking feature, the one-of-a-kind social shopping platform Our Runway, which features user-generated photos of real women in dresses available for rent.
