Rentrak Corporation Announces Director Nominations
WILLIAM ENGEL, MEDIA AND MARKETING INDUSTRY VETERAN, AND MARTIN O'CONNOR, PROMINENT ATTORNEY, TO BE CONSIDERED AT ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS ON AUGUST 26
PORTLAND, Ore., July 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rentrak Corporation (Nasdaq: RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the advertising and entertainment industries, today announced the nominations of William E. Engel and Martin B. O'Connor II to replace board members Thomas D. Allen and George H. Kuper, who are retiring from Rentrak's board of directors after serving for three and ten years, respectively. The election is scheduled for August 26, 2010 at The Cornell Club in New York City at Rentrak's annual meeting of shareholders.

Bill Engel, 62, brings four decades of experience in the media and marketing information industries. He has made significant contributions to the media research industry, including the creation and marketing of new information products, and is co-holder of a patent for the integration of disparate databases. Engel is currently the Chairman of Consumer Orbit, a marketing information company he formed with a focus on the relationship of information to transactions based on databases. Over his illustrious career, Engel has served in various roles including for the Marketing Services Group of Experian Information Solutions, Inc., and as President of Research and Operations for VNU (now The Nielsen Company).
Martin B. O'Connor, 51, is the Managing Partner of O'Connor, Morss & O'Connor, P.C., a New Jersey-based law firm, where he advises clients in the entertainment and other industries about their business interests, including strategic planning, ownership and wealth management issues. O'Connor is also a director of Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp., a pioneer in transforming movie theaters into digital and networked entertainment centers globally, and has extensive international media relationships. In addition, he serves as a director of various closely-held companies, charitable organizations, foundations and professional boards.
