Rentrak Launches "Swift," the First Comprehensive Portal for Electronic Box Office Reporting and Invoicing

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentrak (NASDAQ: RENT), the leader in precisely measuring movies and TV everywhere, today announced it has launched Swift™, a first-of-its kind electronic box office reporting and invoicing service for theaters and studios. Swift provides the global movie industry with a single-source service that streamlines and centralizes all aspects of box office sales reporting, from the beginning of a movie's lifecycle in theaters all the way through the invoicing and billing process.

With Swift, movie theaters now have the ability to electronically submit their finalized transactions at the ticket-type level for each version of every movie they play on their screens. Using Rentrak's patented, secure technology, Swift minimizes manual entry efforts, allowing exhibitors and distributors to focus on bringing more consumers into theaters, while leaving the measurement to Rentrak.

Swift is currently being deployed in the U.S., Europe and South America, with more than 2,000 independent theaters presently using Swift domestically. Over the next six months, the service will be rolled out to all 64 territories where Rentrak collects theater-level flash ticket sale information.
