Rentrak Movie Measurement Launches Box Office Reporting System for India's Carnival Cinemas

PORTLAND, Ore., March 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentrak (NASDAQ: RENT), the leader in precisely measuring movies and TV everywhere, has announced its box office reporting system will be implemented in Carnival Cinemas, one of the largest multiplexes in India.

Carnival Cinemas, which currently ranks as India's third-largest exhibition chain, will have more than 1,000 screens in the country by next year, including theaters in small cities throughout South India.

Rentrak has been measuring box office receipts in India since October 2014. The first film it tracked was Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan's "PK," which recently became the country's highest-grossing film of all time.
