Resco Products CEO Bill Brown to Retire; Board Elects John Midea as Successor
PITTSBURGH, Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Resco Products, Inc. today announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Brown has informed the Board of Directors of his decision to retire after 14 years with the Company. The Board of Directors has elected John Midea, former President and Chief Operating Officer at Ennis Traffic Safety Solutions, to succeed Brown as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Brown will remain a member of Resco's Board of Directors.

Midea, 48, joins Resco after serving as President and COO at Ennis Traffic Safety Solutions since 2008. In this capacity, he directed global strategy and operations for the approximately $500 million traffic safety and infrastructure company with operations in 9 countries. In addition to his contributions in Ennis' organic growth, he was also responsible for the successful integration of 6 acquisitions and in the creation of 4 joint ventures, critical components in growing Ennis from $340 million to $528 million in sales.
Prior to joining Ennis, John earned his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and held various senior leadership positions at The Valspar Corporation and Georgia-Pacific Corporation. Midea graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1987 and was selected for the Naval Nuclear program upon graduation. After graduation, he served in the Navy for six years as a Submarine Officer. John will be relocating to the Pittsburgh area with his wife Kathy, and their three children.
