Rescue Dog Wines Announces Expansion at Albertsons with recent launch in Idaho and Colorado, through Strategic Partnership with ZONIN1821
LODI, Calif., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rescue Dog Wines is proud to expand distribution of their award-winning, mission-based wine brand into Idaho and Colorado, and, in-select Albertson's locations. Founded by Georgia natives Blair & Laura Lott, Rescue Dog Wines is redefining the wine category—bringing sustainable, food-friendly wines to the market that all help support the mission of rehoming as many shelter dogs as possible into loving homes. Through a strategic National Distribution partnership with ZONIN1821, one of the largest importers of Italian wines and sparkling wines, Rescue Dog Wines will join the ZONIN1821 portfolio inside of Johnson Brothers Maverick of Colorado Distribution and Idaho Wine Merchant.
As part of the expansion, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay are now available in select stores under the AVP banner.
Meet the Featured Wines:
- Rescue Dog Wines Chardonnay- This luscious, stainless-steel fermented Chardonnay features stone fruit notes and refreshing acidity. Fresh and full bodied, this wine will delight the palate with its long, fruity finish.
- Rescue Dog Wines Cabernet Sauvignon- Our Cabernet is made with grapes from over 25-year-old Cabernet vines. Velvety and rich with plum, blueberry, vanilla, and chocolate notes.
"Idaho and Colorado are two of the most dog-friendly states in the country, and we've had our eye on them for a long time," said Rescue Dog Wines Founder Blair Lott. "Launching with Albertsons is a natural fit. Pet owners already shop there for food and treats, so we get to meet wine lovers and dog lovers right where they are, and often they're the same people."
Rescue Dog Wines, founded in 2017, is dedicated to producing high quality, approachable wines out of the Lodi AVA. Since the brand's inception, Blair and Laura Lott committed to donating 50% of its profits to a wide array of rescue organizations across the U.S. Today, the brand has donated more than $150,000 to more than 200 partner organizations.
"As we launch in Colorado and Idaho, we are also continuing to expand our footprint in dog-friendly bars, restaurants and hotels," Blair Lott adds. "With this expansion into the two states, we also hope to add many more rescue partners in the area."
Available Statewide in both Idaho and Colorado, the full Rescue Dog Wines portfolio includes a 2024 Chardonnay, 2024 Sauvignon Blanc, 2024 Rosé, 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2023 Red Blend. Rescue Dog Winemaker, Susy Vasquez, prides herself on crafting clean, sustainable wines and producing wines in harmony with nature.
