WAILEA, Hawaii, Sept. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Marriott International, Inc. in partnership with R.D. Olson Development has opened Hawaii's first Residence Inn by Marriott Maui Wailea. On September 15th the newly constructed hotel will welcome local officials; community dignitaries; business leaders; lifestyle and trend influencers to a grand opening celebration. The all-day event will begin in the morning with Hawaiian traditions including the blowing of the conch shell; a blessing conducted by a Hawaiian kahu and Maile lei ribbon untying ceremony. The celebration continues into the evening with a welcome reception complete with Hawaiian dancers and live musical performances.
